How do you know if you have tendonitis?

Tendonitis is a condition characterized by the inflammation or breakdown of tendons due to repetitive stress or injury. It can cause pain and limited mobility and commonly affects individuals over 40 years old and athletes engaged in certain activities. Symptoms include sudden or gradual pain near a tendon, and in some cases, a loss of motion. Immediate treatment using the RICE method (rest, ice, compression, elevation) is recommended, followed by a consultation with a podiatrist for further evaluation. Treatment options may include steroid injections, physical therapy, and, in rare cases, surgery. If you suspect that you have tendonitis then schedule an appointment with our podiatrist Mr Asif Ahmed at Harrow Foot Health Clinic.
